Inspired Writing Retreat Weekend

at the Chateau de Bossey, March 15-16, 2025

We’re not creating ourselves. We’re not recreating ourselves.

We are allowing our real and essential self to unfold
by becoming the right vibrational condition for its unfoldment

Michael B. Beckwith

PROGRAM

Inspired writing is a process of dialogue with the soul, our essence. We let it speak to us. We ask the question, and the soul responds. We uncover the unspoken and unconscious. We may write, share, and publish, or we may write and read, gleaning the things we need to release from our body and subconscious.

Saturday March 15th 2025

9:00 to 9:30          Gathering and Welcome: Setting your intention for the retreat

9:30  - 10:00         Contemplation: Activating Inner Wisdom
During the opening contemplation, we are uncovering how to invite the spiritual presence of Silence into our lives and reorient them to serve the Creative Source, the Universe. Beth Linguri will lead us into the stillness, beyond the din of everyday life, to release and recover our souls.

10:00 - 11:00        Silent Walk: Way of St. James

Through the activity of a quiet walk, we move the busy, active-thinking mind to stillness to begin to hear the inner voice. We are on a pilgrimage, perceiving the silence in its holy echoing and resonance. It's calling forth a knowing that is from the soul.

11:00 -  11:30        Writing Time & Coffee Break

11:30 -  12:30        Sacred Circles Sharing Your Story

When we are listened to, we become unfolded and expanded. Ideas begin to grow within us and come to life. Story is the nearest way to understand our lives and find our way forward. What has been revealed about your story that you have yet to remember? What do you need to know now?

12:30 - 13:30       Lunch Break

13:30 - 15:00       Susan TiberghienWriting Toward Wholeness
“There is something in the depths of our being that hungers for wholeness.” Thomas Merton
Only when we become whole will the world become whole. Wholeness is the oneness of our being, the oneness of humanity and of our universe. In this workshop we will first look at how wholeness has been understood through the centuries. Then how can we approach it through writing. And to close, how we can contribute to the wholeness of our broken world.

Where does writing come from? It comes from the same place as music composition does, from the same source of profound knowledge and inspiration as any form of art. You do not need to be a writer to write, but you can use writing to bring in critical information, even knowledge, from a higher place. Daniela Norris, a published author and hypnotherapist, will share some inspired writing tools.
