Inspired Writing Retreat Weekend
at the Chateau de Bossey, March 15-16, 2025
We’re not creating ourselves. We’re not recreating ourselves.
We are allowing our real and essential self to unfold
by becoming the right vibrational condition for its unfoldment
- Michael B. Beckwith
We gather at the spring equinox, when light and dark are evenly balanced, to balance the body, mind, and spirit. Our primary focus is the busy mind, which thinks, judges, reacts, and responds. The spirit or soul, with all its wisdom and knowing, connected to the source of all-knowing, is seldom acknowledged or listened to.
Inspired writing is a process by which we dialogue with the soul. We let it speak to us.
We ask the question, and the soul responds. We uncover the unspoken and unconscious, and then we can achieve more balance. We have more choices. We may write, share, and publish, or we may write and read, gleaning the things we need to release from our body and subconscious mind for our eyes only.
The retreat will be held at the magnificent setting of the Chateau de Bossey overlooking the Lake of Geneva and the French Alps.
If you wish to stay overnight, rooms are available on Friday and Saturday night at a special retreat rate. Reserve your room directly with the Chateau and mention that you are joining the Inspired Writing Retreat.
We invite you to come away from your everyday environment and move into a space of quiet interiority. As we become still and allow the Inner Voice to speak — we listen — we write — we draw — we share, we give the Inner Voice a time and place to express. Through words, imagery and activating our imagination, we access that which is True within. In community we can receive support to recommit to our purpose for being, so we can leave with a clear path forward, having recommitted to a more authentic and purposeful life.
"This writing practice allows us to look inward, translate our deepest emotions, and remember what leaves us stunned or amazed. When we learn to look at everyday life through the lens of an artist, we cultivate a mindset of wonder and appreciation. The craft of writing together nurtures our ability to see beauty in the mundane, find meaning in our pain, and feel relief for a moment on the page." - Snatam Kaur
